Dearest Liz We've shared some interesting times in the ten years since I walked through the doors at Creative Living Centre, shortly thereafter to be given the Treasurer's badge. I enjoyed the hours we spent analysing where our funds were likely to come from, how we would spend them, playing "what if", reviewing where we had actually spent them, and whether there was any "wiggle room". Your quiet and calm approach helped me retain my focus, along with your patience recalling what had been previously discussed, and finding emails to send again, but it is your underlying strength, belief, vision, focus and sheer determination that has seen CLC grow in all respects in those 10 years and beyond. Your regular 'ribbing' about the quantity and duration of my breaks and holidays provided a rich source of amusement - and I will do my best to keep up my record - despite Covid! Perhaps the two final ironies are that, very sadly, I won't be able to join all your other friends at the celebration of your all too short life next Friday. You guessed it - I'll be on holiday!! On that day I will be in Cromer - a place where, or near where I'm sure you mentioned you were born and/or grew up. I will miss your smile, your encouragement, your support, your friendship. It is a tragedy you were not allowed more 'wiggle room'! Brian xx
